We're getting into some more recent off-topic stuff this week with a look at the emotional narrative game OXENFREE II. This game has charm and lots of heart but be prepared for spoilers because Hunter and Sun dig into the meat of this story game to such an extent that I feel like you could be kinda mad about it if you listened. SUMMER HAS BEGUN AND WE'RE STARTING COLD. This week the Sanders brothers are talkin' their favorite old Hockey game NHL '94 for the SNES and Genesis. They also sorta talk about NHL '95 and '96. They also just kind of talk about hockey in general. It's real good chill one and it sets the stage for a wonderful summer of fun episodes about all kinds of stuff.

It's time for our 2024 follow-up to Super Metroid, this year's PUZZLE SEARCH ACTION GAME ANIMAL WELL. We love this game and we recommend it if you like puzzles and atmosphere. Our Animal Well episode is going to be late this week due to Matt literally getting hit with a tornado. It sucks so be nice to him. As an alternative we're going to go ahead and release our April Patreon bonus episode which is about the Three Colours Trilogy by Krzysztof Kieślowski. This maybe isn't a fair game to call a 2024 release since it's just entering Early Access, but we'll call this the state of Hades 2 in May of 2024. Hades spent multiple years in an Early Access that resulted in one of the favorite games of 2020, so it's safe to assume the team behind it can be trusted with this kind of task.
